By bus Once you have reached Crete the public buses run by K.T.E.L will take you for little money to any place all over the island. To Agia Roumeli take the bus from Heraklion to Chania (or vice-versa) and change at Vrisses to the bus headed to Chora Sfakion. K.T.E.L timetable By boat From Chora Sfakion take one of the ferries run by ANENDYK. They will take you on a nice 60 minutes ride along the coast via Loutro to Agia Roumeli. ANENDYK Timetable Walking The most common way to reach Agia Roumeli by foot is the walk down Samaria Gorge. A bus will take you from Chania to Omalos and then there are only 20 km left until you reach the Lybian Sea and Agia Roumeli. Check it out. It’s worth it!
